Luminate Festival is a vibrant summer festival of live and electronic music, visual and performing arts, inspirational knowledge-sharing and pioneering environmental initiatives.
The festival offers a range of live music and electronica spanning five zones. It delivers an international line-up as well as home-grown talent. You will find world grooves, jazz, dub, reggae, gypsy, blues, house, folk, roots, psytrance, techno, house, tribal drumming and lots more.
The workshops include permaculture, dance, science, health, music, yoga, drumming, circo-arts and traditional crafts. With a healing zone, tribal drum circle, village market, circus space, performance arts and lots of activities for children, there is plenty to pack into this eight-day experience.
Luminate is renowned for its strong environmentally conscious focus so please bring your own plates/cups for the market. All the cafes run by Luminate are vegetarian and Organic. And remember withno rubbish or recycling bins on site you pack out what you bring in.
Enjoy spacious camping in a stunning natural environment. Eco amenities include composting toilets and solar showers. Luminate is a non-alcohol, family-friendly event, no dogs allowed.
Early-Bird Adult and Youth tickets on sale 1 August 2018 at Cosmic nationwide, I-SITE Takaka, Motueka, Nelson and Greymouth and online at Eventfinda and Cosmic. Children 13 and under, and seniors over 75 attend for free. Check the website for full details.

Activities
The Market is a colorful, spacious area; the home of the festival. It offers quality, tasty and healthy food, a wide range of wonderful products, and a open mic stage! It’s the perfect area to chill out and catch up with friends, while enjoying a mouth-watering meal, juice, coffee or snack. Parents also enjoy the time to relax while their children are enjoying a variety of activities.
The Healing Hub offers a wide range of healing experiences from various styles of massage and other bodywork to channeled readings and light workers.
The Flaming Juggle Poi Toy Zone is where you will find an extensive program of circus style workshops which caters for all ages and abilities, and of course hosts a spectacular array of fire/LED performers each night throughout the festival.
Luminate is kid friendly, That means alot more than just letting children be there, they really try to make this event so much fun and memorable for the kids who come along and share some special time with their parents.
