Events in Golden Bay

There are lots of events in Golden Bay at different times of the year.  Golden Bay is New Zealand’s most appealing and diverse holiday destination. Imagine a region with endless variety, breathtaking scenery, arts and crafts, sporting activities and where golden beaches, alpine valleys and tranquil fishing rivers share a close proximity with the sea.  There’s something for everyone.

Golden Bay is nestled into the South Island’s north-west corner. A chain of steep and rugged mountains cuts its fertile river plains and valleys from the rest of the island. Unless you’re a migrating whale, you don’t go past Golden Bay on your way to anywhere.  Below are just some of the many events on for you to enjoy while staying at The Station House, here in Collingwood, NZ.

This is always a must do when in Golden Bay.  Its a great day out for all the family.  There is live music all day long, plenty of different types of foods to try like scallops, mussels, vension, goat, wallaby and much more.  There is also a hangi and a spit roast.  For the kids will be a bouncy castle and water slide.  There is a pay bar and to get home there is a courtesy coach.  Dont forget to have a go in the Wife Carrying Race.  Its always a great laugh with good prizes for the winner.  Weather day 2nd Feb.
